Sourcing

Two routes for freshness and variety

Direct import from overseas growers widens our range of varieties, and direct trade with Korean farms shortens lead times. Because we run both routes together, supply continues through seasonal swings.

Import route

Direct import from overseas growers

We import directly from overseas growing regions for wider variety and to cover seasonal gaps, so the varieties you need are available even in Korea's off-season.

  • Varieties and colors that are hard to find in Korea
  • Fills supply gaps in Korea's off-season (peak heat and deep cold)
  • Advance allocation of single varieties for large events

Domestic route

Direct trade with Korean flower farms

Trading directly with Korean farms cuts out intermediary steps. With less time between harvest and your venue, the difference in freshness shows.

  • Short lead time from harvest to store to venue
  • Season plans made together with farms for stable volumes
  • The seasonal character of Korean-grown varieties, as it is

Why both

Why one route isn't enough

Imports alone mean long lead times; Korean flowers alone narrow the range of varieties in the off-season. Running both routes side by side covers each one's weak points.

Seasonal backup

In Korea's peak heat and deep cold we fill in with imports, and in the import off-season with in-season Korean varieties.

Range of varieties

Varieties and colors not available in Korea come from imports; varieties that need a seasonal feel come from Korean farms.

Volume risk

Large event volumes are split across both routes, so a problem with one source doesn't spread to the whole order.

Quality

One standard, from arrival to dispatch

The same procedures, from arrival inspection to dispatch standards, apply to both the store and the online store. Whichever channel you use, the quality is the same.

Quality sorting: checking the bloom stage and stem condition of fresh flowers
  1. 01

    Arrival inspection

Bloom stage, stem condition and signs of disease are checked as soon as flowers arrive.

  2. 02

    Conditioning

Stem cutting, rehydration and temperature control extend vase life.

  3. 03

    Cold storage

Each variety is stored at its proper temperature to hold its condition until dispatch.

  4. 04

    Dispatch standards

Flowers ship at the bloom stage and length suited to their use.
